i was reading genesis yesterday. and something stood out to me.
after adam and eve failed him, God took the time to make clothes out of skin for them, even in their mess. even in their shame.
it’s as if he saw the fig leaves they put together, and said “let me make you something better”. while being the least deserving of it.
that’s really beautiful to me.
Sometimes life roars the most intense trials down your throat.
It wakes you up from what has felt like a simple daydream.
You are called to shove spoonfuls of courage into the deepest depths of your soul.
But you are worth that.
You are worth the fight and the ache.I once read words that have now become my favorite. They read “it has been a beautiful fight. Still is.”
Life, though unexplainable, is always tossing and turning us inside and out. Through it all- we have to remember that life is such a beautiful fight. A fight for our worth. A fight for our joy. A fight for our courage. A fight to get up even on our worst days. It’s worth it.
Still is. Will always be.
That is the kind courage I must have now.
I am currently
learning to heal through
kindness,
it is proving to be
the greatest test
of my character
We cannot pray in love and live in hate and still think we are worshipping God.
If the U.S. considers itself to be the most Christian country then I hope that it takes in the most refugees, that every prisoner has a visitor, that everyone is warm and sheltered, that no one goes hungry or thirsty, that no one who is ill goes untreated, because that’s what Jesus was telling those who want to follow Him to do. To be righteous is to love abundantly.
The only way out of the labyrinth of suffering is to forgive.
If you think you have blown God’s plan for your life, rest in this. You, my beautful friend are not that powerful.
